JMI Admission 2026: Jamia Millia Islamia approves one-year MBA, M.Com and MA programmes through ODL and online modes. Check courses and latest updates.
Jamia Millia Islamia (JMI) has approved the introduction of one-year postgraduate programmes through Open and Distance Learning (ODL) and Online Learning (OL) modes. The programmes will be offered through the university’s Centre for Distance and Online Education (CDOE).
As per the university’s office order dated September 21, 2026, the one-year postgraduate programmes have been approved in 13 disciplines, including Master of Business Administration (MBA) and Master of Commerce (M.Com.) in Business Management. The move has been approved in accordance with the provisions of the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020 and applicable University Grants Commission (UGC) regulations.

JMI Admissions 2026: Programmes to be Offered Through CDOE
The newly approved programmes will be offered by the Centre for Distance and Online Education (CDOE), Jamia Millia Islamia. The university has directed the concerned deans, directors, heads of departments and other officials to take note of the order and initiate necessary action.
The order was issued by JMI Registrar Professor Md Mahtab Alam Rizvi on behalf of the university’s Academic Council. The action taken by the Vice-Chancellor will be placed before the next meeting of the Academic Council for reporting.
JMI Admission 2026-27: Distance and Online Courses
JMI had earlier started admissions for 49 distance and online programmes for the 2026-27 academic session through its CDOE. The programmes include undergraduate, postgraduate, diploma, postgraduate diploma, advanced diploma and certificate courses.
The university’s CDOE admission portal currently provides the 2026-27 July-session prospectus and admission-related notifications. Candidates seeking admission through distance and online modes can check the latest notification, eligibility criteria, programme details and application schedule on the official JMI admission portal.
