Through his social media posts, the Prime Minister has requested that citizens stay hydrated, avoid stepping out during peak afternoon hours, and remain alert to signs of heat exhaustion. In the message, PM Modi has also appealed to people to check on elderly family members, children, and outdoor workers whoa re among the most vulnerable during these extreme summer conditions. He has also encouraged the citizens to keep bowls of water outside for birds and animals who are struggling in this scorching heat.

The advisory comes as multiple states across North India continue to witness soaring temperatures, with meteorological departments issuing heatwave warnings in several regions. Health experts are also repeatedly advising people to consume adequate fluids, wear light clothing, and maintain minimum exposure to sunlight during afternoon hours.
