JEE Advanced Full Form with Details 

The full form of JEE is Joint Entrance Examination. JEE Advanced is a national-level entrance examination that is conducted for admissions into IIT/IISc for B. E/B. Tech admissions. JEE Prior to JEE Advanced exam, a candidate has to first appear for JEE Main exam and obtain the JEE Main cut off marks. Candidates who are in the top 2.5 lakh of JEE Main Exam then become eligible to appear for the JEE Advanced exam. 

As the JEE Advanced exam is set on a rotational basis by the IITs and IISc, therefore, one can expect a slight variation in the number of questions asked in the exam. Hence, the marking scheme and the distribution of questions change each year

Who Conducts JEE Advanced?

JEE Advanced is an engineering exam that is conducted by any one of the IITs namely IIT Kharagpur, IIT Kanpur, IIT Kanpur, IIT Delhi, IIT Bombay, IIT Guwahati, and IIT Roorkee or Indian Institute of Science (IISc) Bangalore, under the aegis of the Joint Admission Board (JAB). Any one of the IITs conducts the JEE Advanced exam on a rotational basis.

JEE Advanced 2025 Latest Updates 

The result for JEE Advanced 2025 has been released on 2nd June 2025 Candidates can check the JEE advanced result 2025 online to know thier marks and their qualifying status.

The official JEE Advanced answer key 2025 for Paper 1 and Paper 2 has been released online on 26th May 2025. The candidates who have appeared for the exam can download the official answer key PDF for Paper 1 and Paper 2 online. The link to challenge the answer key is active up to 27th May 2025 only up to 5 PM. As the answer key has been released, the result for the same shall be out on 2nd June 2025 along with the final answer key. 

The JEE Advanced registration 2025 has ended. Candidates who have applied for the exam will be able to download JEE Advanced admit card 2025 from 11th May 2025 from the official website which is jeeadv.ac.in. The exam for JEE Advanced is scheduled for 18th May 2025 in two shifts, i.e. for Paper 1 and Paper 2. The exam will be held in CBT mode across 222 cities in India and 2 cities abroad.

The official JEE Advanced 2025 mock tests are also available on the official website. The JEE Advanced exam will have two papers, both of which will have three subjects - Maths, Physics, and Chemistry. The JEE Advanced 2025 will be held for 6 hours - Paper 1 from 9 am to 12 noon and Paper 2 from 2:30 pm to 5:30 pm. Candidates must attempt both papers to be eligible for admission to the IITs.

JEE Advanced 2025 Registration Form

JEE Advanced registration 2025 shall be done from the JEE Advanced website. IIT Kanpur will activate the JEE Advanced apply online link tentatively in April 2025. Candidates will have to fill out the form, upload the required documents and pay the application fee to complete the registration process. Here are steps that will help you complete the JEE Advanced registration 2025. 

  • The qualified candidates need to first register themselves for the JEE Advanced 2025 exam. For this process, candidates need to provide their JEE Main 2025 roll number, password and security pin. 
  • In the next step, enter your personal details, communication address, etc. 
  • Select the exam centre for JEE Advanced 2025 exam from the dropdown menu. 
  • Thereafter, upload the scanned images of your photograph, signature, caste certificate (if any) etc in the required size and format. 
  • Lastly, pay the JEE Advanced application fee as per your category through offline or online mode. 
  • After all the above steps have been completed make sure that you take print out of the JEE Advanced application form 204 for future reference. 

JEE Advanced 2025 Form Correction

The candidates who have applied for JEE Advanced 2025 exam and paid the application fee, however, have made a minor error in the application form have the option to make corrections to it. The JEE Advanced correction date shall be notified on JEE Advanced website. Further, only certain can be corrected in the form. 

Documents to Upload in JEE Advanced 2025 Application Form

  • Class 10th certificate if the date of birth is mentioned in it or the birth certificate.

JoSAA 2025 Counselling

JEE Advanced counselling is conducted through the Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JoSAA). Only those candidates can participate in counselling who secure a rank in the JEE Advanced exam 2025. Candidates who are in the top 2,50,000 can apply for JoSAA counselling round. On the basis of the marks secured by candidates in JEE Advanced, the candidates will be allotted the IIT or NIT.
