JEE Advanced Counselling 2025

 The Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JoSAA) will conduct IIT JEE Advanced counselling 2025 for which the dates have been released. The JOSAA registration shall begin from 3rd June 2025. 

The JoSAA JEE Advanced counselling process includes registration, filling in choices of course and institute, locking the choices, seat allocation, document verification and reporting at the allotted institute. JEE Advanced Counselling 2025 Highlights

Candidates applying for JoSAA Counselling for admission to IITs have to report at the allotted center for document verification. There are 18 reporting centers for IITs whereas 45 reporting centers are available for NITs, IIITs, and Other GFTIs. Eligible candidates can withdraw their seats in any of the counselling rounds except the last round. The introduction of the seat withdrawal option by the JoSAA officials will be significant in the reduction of the number of unfilled seats at IITs, NITs, IIITs and GFTIs.

What is the eligibility for JEE Advanced 2025 Counselling?

Candidates who qualify JEE Advanced 2025 exam will be allowed to take part in the JEE Advanced counselling 2025 that shall be conducted by JoSAA. The qualified candidates will be allowed to take admission to various undergraduate courses offered by the IITs. However, the candidates will have to fulfill the following given eligibility criteria to take part in the JoSAA counselling and seat allotment process. 

  • Candidates should have obtained a rank in the Common Rank List (CRL) in JEE Advanced exam. 
  • The candidates must be in the top 2.5 lakh students of JEE Main 2025 exam. 
  • Candidates should have passed class 12 or an equivalent exam. 

What is JEE Advanced Counselling and Seat Allotment 2025 Process?

JEE Advanced counselling and seat allotment process is conducted by the Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JoSAA). Only those candidates having a JEE Advanced rank will be eligible to participate in the counselijgn session of JoSAA. Here are the steps required to appear for JEE Advanced Counselling 2025: 

JEE Advanced 2025 Counselling: Steps to follow

Step 1, Registration: The first step towards JEE Advanced counselling is registration. Candidates will have to register themselves to appear in the counselling and seat allotment. For this, they will have to use their JEE Main roll number and JEE Advanced password as credentials while logging in.

Step 2, Filling and Locking of Choice: Once the registration is completed, the candidates will have to select the college in order of preference and lock it. 

Step 3, Allotment of seats: JoSAA will conduct mock seat allotment as per the choices made by the candidates Candidates will however, be allowed to change their choices after mock allotment. Seats will be allotted to the students as per the merit list, category and availability.

Step 4, Reporting at centres: Once the seat allotment process has been completed, the candidates will have to download the allotment letter and pay the seat acceptance fee. They will have to carry all the relevant documents at the centre for verification. 

JEE Advanced Counselling 2025: List of documents to carry for Document Verification

Candidates who are allotted a seat at the JEE Advanced counselling will have to carry the following documents in original as well as a photocopy of each of them at the time of counselling: 

  • Seat Allotment Letter
  • Admit card of JEE Advanced 2025
  • Proof of Date of Birth: Class X/HSC/Birth Certificate/Any other certificate as proof of date of birth
  • Photo Identity proof such as an Aadhar Card
  • Class XII/SSC/Equivalent exam Mark sheet and Certificate of passing
  • Proof of seat acceptance fee payment
  • Two passport-sized photographs
  • Category Certificate (OBC (NCL)/SC/ST/PwD/DS/EWS) issued by the competent authority
  • Duly filled Medical Examination Report
  • For foreign nationals: Attested photocopy of the page in the passport containing name, photo and nationality
