BPSC Head Teacher and Head Master Last Date Extended: Bihar Public Service Commission (BPSC) has extended the deadline for accepting online applications of head teacher and head masters. Candidates who are interested and eligible can now apply online until April 10. Earlier, the last date to apply online was April 2.

All the eligibility criteria remain the same, i.e., candidates must not be more than 58 years old on August 1, 2024, with a minimum of 8 years of teaching experience in primary to be eligible to apply for the positions. Sixty years is the retirement age.

Steps to Apply Online for BPSC Head Master

Candidates can visit the official website and submit an online application for the BPSC Teacher Recruitment 2024. The candidates can follow the step by step guidelines to apply online.

Step 1: Visit the official website - onlinebpsc.bihar.gov.in

Step 2: Click on the "Apply Online" button for the BPSC Head Teacher/Head Master  Recruitment post.

Step 3: Enter your name, date of birth, gender, Aadhaar number, address, etc.

Step 4: After confirming your email address and phone number using the OTP you received, finish the registration process.

Step 5: Log in with the provided registration number and password.

Step 6: Upload the scanned copies of the required documents as per the format specified. 

Step 7: Pay the fee and download the submitted form for future reference.

BPSC Headmaster Eligibility Criteria

The eligibility criteria for Head Teacher and Head Master posts differ. Check the details below

Head Master: Candidates must have a bachelor's degree with at least 50% from a recognised university. Candidates should also have cleared the teacher eligibility test and completed D.El.Ed., B.T., B.Ed., B.A.Ed., B.Sc.Ed., or B.L.Ed. Additionally, candidates need to have worked as secondary teachers for eight years in a state government school or twelve years in a school connected to the CBSE, ACSE, or BSEB.

Head Teacher: To be eligible of BPSC Head Teacher recruitment the candidate should have completed following educational qualification

• Graduation degree from any recognised university with at least 50% marks.
• 5% relaxation shall be allowed in the minimum marks for SC/ST/EBC/BC/ Differently able/female and EWS category candidates.
• The degree of ‘Aalim’ secured from Maulana Mazharul Haque Arbi & Persian University, Patna / Bihar State Madarsa Education Board, and the degree of Shastri from Kameshwar Singh Darbhanga Sanskrit University will be considered equivalent to graduation.
• Qualified D.El.Ed/ B.T/ B.Ed./ B.A.Ed/ B.Sc.Ed/ B.L.Ed.
