IBSAT Selection Process 2024
The IBSAT 2024 selection process has been updated. The selection round now includes a micro presentation instead of a group discussion. Results of the IBSAT 2024 selection process will be announced on ibsindia.org. The ICFAI Business School conducts these selection rounds for admission to its eight campuses. Candidates with valid scores in IBSAT 2024 or other entrance exams such as CAT, MAT, XAT, SNAP, NMAT, GMAT, MAH CET, or any state-level entrance exam (with scores valid from 2022 onwards) are eligible for the selection rounds.
The results for the IBSAT 2024 selection process for admission to the PGPM program at IBS Hyderabad have been declared. Admissions to the nine IBS campuses in Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Dehradun, Jaipur, Ahmedabad, Gurgaon, Kolkata, Mumbai, and Pune will be based on candidates' overall performance in academics and the GD/PI process.

IBS Selection Process 2024: Stages of Selection
Candidates who qualify for the IBSAT 2024/ CAT/GMAT®/NMAT by GMAC are called for the Selection process at the IBS Hyderabad campus for another round of selection. The second round of selection comprises of the following given stages. Candidates who clear the GD&PI round finally make it to the IBS and can seek admission to the MBA course. Candidates need to follow these 4 steps before they appear for the GDPI round conducted at various centers in the country.
- Micro Presentation: In this round, candidates must present on a given topic for 3 minutes. They will be given three topics to choose from, and they can select one to present on. This exercise is designed to assess communication and thinking skills.
- Personal Interview: Candidates who successfully pass the Group Discussion round are invited to the Personal Interview (PI) round. This round evaluates communication skills, confidence, business aptitude, and overall attitude. It is important for candidates to stay calm and composed during this final round.
- Admission: Based on the final selection results, candidates will need to secure admission in one of the nine IBS Business Schools, adhering to the respective cutoffs and final selection criteria.
IBSAT Selection Process: Micro Presentation Process
The Selection Process for admission to the IBSAT 2024 exam MBA/PGPM will have a Micro-Presentation and Personal Interview carrying a weightage of 25 marks.
The Micro-Presentation aims to provide a focused assessment of a candidate's communication and presentation skills, along with their ability to think and organize thoughts quickly.Here are the steps through which the micro presentation will be done:
- Candidates will select a number between 1 and 100. Each number corresponds to a pre-assigned topic.
- Once the number has been selected, the candidate is provided with the corresponding topic.
- 1 minute will be given for preparation and and the presentation will have to be presented in 3-minute duration. .
Flexibility in IBSAT Micro Presentation:
- If a candidate finds the first topic difficult, they may request a second topic by selecting another number between 1 and 100.
- Candidates may choose between one of the two topics but will not be given additional chances.
- The topics are randomized after each selection. Even if a subsequent candidate chooses the same number, they will receive a different topic.
Key Features of the IBSAT Micro-Presentation
- The Micro-Presentation is an individual exercise, unlike a Group Discussion. Only the presenting candidate will speak, with no interaction or discussion among participants. Candidates will not be posed any questions during or after the presentation.
- Each candidate presents his/her topic before a batch of 9-11 fellow candidates and 2 Panel Members.
