Bhaag Milkha Bhaag, a 2013 biographical film of Milkha Singh was screened in Saudi Arabia on 25 March 2014. The film was screened as a part of the seventh Asian Film Festival 2014.
The film was screened as a part of the 12 films that was selected by the Asian Consulates General Club (ACGC) to present the cultural diversity of Asian countries.
About the film Bhaag Milkha Bhaag
• The movie is an Indian biographical sports drama based on the life of Milkha Singh, who was a national champion and an Olympian Indian athlete
• The film was produced and directed in 2013 by Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra on a script written by Prasoon Joshi
• Farhan Akhtar played the role of Milkha Singh in the film
The film’s script was inspired by a book authored by Milkha Singh and his daughter co-authored a book entitled, The Race of My Life. The right of the film was sold by Singh for one rupee to the producer and director with a clause that a share of the profits would be given to the Milkha Singh Charitable Trust founded in 2003.
