India-born Padmasree Warrior on 9 June 2015 resigned as Chief Technology Officer (CTO) of Cisco. She resigned after a major restructuring at the top management level under incoming Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Chuck Robbins.
She will move into a strategic advisory role immediately and will stay on in this new role through the transition till September 2015. She joined Cisco in 2008 and served as CTO and senior Vice-President during her seven years at the company.
She was also named among the world's 100 most powerful women list by Forbes.
She is an alumnus of the IIT-Delhi and Cornell University. She has regularly received various leadership awards. She is a member of the board of trustees for Cornell University and serves on the Gap Inc. Board of directors.
