Rajnath Singh launches intelligence wing of SSB and WARB App

Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh has launched the intelligence wing of Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB) and Welfare and Rehabilitation Board App (WARB) for grievance redressal of retired CAPFs and Assam Rifles personnel. The intelligence wing will help gather actionable information that will be useful to strengthen the security of the nation.

Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh on 18 September 2017 launched the intelligence wing of Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB) and Welfare and Rehabilitation Board App (WARB) in New Delhi.

Speaking on the occasion, the Home Minister stated that ensuring the security of open borders is a major challenge and the SSB is playing a crucial role in this regard.
SSB, which is currently one of India's Central Armed Police Forces (CAPFs), guards India's borders with Bhutan and Nepal. The intelligence wing will help gather actionable information that will be useful for the force.

WARB app, on the other hand, comprises features to facilitate retired CAPFs and Assam Rifles personnel to get their grievances redressed, seek skill development and other relevant and important information.

Further, Rajnath Singh stated that the border police force should check the authenticity of messages that are being spread on the social media regarding security or intelligence alerts. He said, on several occasions, misinformation gets spread on social media platforms.

Besides this, the minister assured CAPF personnel of full assistance on their grievances and said that the government is fully committed to their welfare.
