The Delhi High Court (HC) on 3 September 2015 directed the Union Government to treat Group A officers of all paramilitary forces as organised services.
The directive was given by a division bench of Justice Kailash Gambhir and Justice Najmi Waziri while hearing a batch of petitions filed by serving and retired officers.
The judgment will benefit around 10000 officers belonging to various paramilitary forces including the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF), Border Security Force (BSF), Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP), etc. of the Union Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA).
By virtue of being part of the Organised Group A officers, they will be entitled to get many additional benefits including financial benefits like Non-Functional Upgradation (NFU) from 2006.
