CUET UG 2024: The National Testing Agency (NTA) has released the official notification for Common University Entrance Test Undergraduate, CUET UG 2024. As per the notice, CUET UG 2024 registrations began on February 27 and will continue till March 26, 2024. Interested and eligible candidates can register online at cuetug.ntaonline.in.

According to the official schedule, the CUET UG 2024 exam will be held from May 15 to 31, 2024. The entrance exam will be administered in three shifts: 1st will be held between 9 am and 11 am, 2nd from 12:30 pm to 2 pm, and the 3rd one from 4 pm to 5:30 pm. CUET UG 2024 is going to be held in hybrid mode this year.

CUET UG 2024 To Be Conducted in Hybrid Mode

As per the latest updates, the exam of subjects with a high number of registrations will be held in pen and paper mode using optical mark recognition (OMR) format. While the remaining will be computer-based.

“NTA will decide which exams to be conducted in pen and paper mode once the registration process is completed,” said NTA Director General Subodh Kumar Singh.

Also, NTA has reduced the maximum number of subjects that a student can choose to six (earlier, it was 10). “It will help the agency to conduct the exam of one subject on one day. Therefore, the process of normalisation of marks scored by the students over different shifts on different days in a subject will not be required this time,” Kumar said.

The CUET UG 2024 exam will be held in 33 languages and 27 subjects. Apart from this, a general test will be conducted for any undergraduate programmes being offered by the universities. The entrance exam will be held in 13 languages i.e. English, Hindi, Assamese, Bengali, Malayalam, Marathi, Odia, Punjabi, Gujarati, Kannada, Tamil, Telugu, and Urdu.
