Railway Minister Inaugurated International Conference on Dedicated Freight Corridor

The Minister of Railways Pawan Kumar Bansal inaugurated International Conference on Dedicated Freight Corridor Challenges and Opportunities on 4 April 2013 at Hotel Le Meridien, New Delhi. The Conference on Dedicated Freight Corridor Challenges and Opportunities was organised by ASSOCHAM India.

In the conference, Pawan Kumar Bansal also released ASSOCHAM-YES BANK knowledge Report called Corridors for India’s Economic Development.

In the conference, there were three main technical sessions called DFC’s –Current Scenario and Operational Challenges, Financing options and Investment Opportunities and Technological Innovations & Opportunities in Heavy Haul Rolling Stock.

The conference was attended by various national as well as international stakeholders. In the conference, discussions about the achievements and development in the railway took place.
