Sheila Dikshit, the former Chief Minister of Delhi on 11 March 2014 took oath as the Governor of Kerala in Thiruvananthapuram. The oath was administered to her by the Kerala High Court’s Chief Justice Dr Manjula Chellur. She was appointed at the post of the state’s governor on 4 March 2014.
She has succeeded Nikhil Kumar, who in the past has served as the Police Chief of Delhi. Her appointment to the post came following resignation of Nikhil Kumar.
