What advantages will the PM Surya Ghar Muft Bijli Scheme provide?

Additionally, the scheme will ensure an additional 30 GW of solar capacity via rooftop solar in the residential sector across the country and would lead to the reduction of emissions that are equivalent to 720 million tonnes of Carbon Dioxide (CO2) over the lifetime of the rooftop systems which would be for 25 years.
Additionally, the PM-Surya Ghar Muft Bijli Yojana will be creating over 17 lakh jobs in various sectors like manufacturing, supply chain, installation, logistics, sales, management, operations, and more.
