Varun Berry on 25 March 2014 appointed as Managing Director (MD) of Britannia Industries. He will succeed Vinita Bali. Currently, he is working as chief operating officer (COO) of the company.
Varun Berry had joined Britannia in January 2013 as chief operating officer from PepsiCo Inc.
In May 2013 he was promoted as head of Britannia’s India operations, which generate over 90% of its sales. This is accounted as the company’s de facto head.
In November 2013, he was then appointed as executive director by the Chairman of Britannia Nusli Wadia.

Currently, Britannia has an estimated 38 percent market share. The Company's principal activity is the manufacture and sale of biscuits, bread, rusk, cakes and dairy products.
