World Economic Forum (WEF) released Young Global Leader’s 2014 list on 11 March 2014. The WEF recognised 214 Young Global Leaders (YGLs). Among them 109 are woman who were recognised for leadership and service to society.
The Young Global Leaders 2014 came from 66 countries across 7 regions and equally represent the public and private sector and belong to professions including academia, arts and culture, civil society, government, media and not-for-profit organisations.
The YGL Class of 2014 includes 49 individuals from East Asia, 46 from Europe, 17 from Latin America, 18 from the Middle East and North Africa, 48 from North America, 17 from South Asia and 19 from sub-Saharan Africa.
There were 17 young global leaders in South Asia, out of which 14 were from India. Following are the Indians among the YGLs list.
