Zaheer Khan was on 28 March 2016 appointed as captain of the Delhi Daredevils team for 2016 Indian Premier League season.
He would replace South African all-rounder JP Duminy who was captain in the last season.
About Zaheer Khan
• He joined Delhi Daredevils franchise in 2015.
• He played seven of the team's 14 matches and took seven wickets at an average of 22.28 and an economy-rate of 6.45.
• He retired from international cricket in October 2015, having played 92 Tests with 311 wickets. He took 282 ODI wickets in 200 matches. He also played 17 Twenty20 Internationals for India.
• He also played for Royal Challengers Bangalore and Mumbai Indians before joining Delhi Dare Devils in 2015.
