The global agricultural export market is valued at $1.5 trillion, and the global world trade is dominated by three countries namely, USA, Brazil, China. According to the World Trade Organisation (WTO) export trade data of agricultural products, US is the world’s largest exporter of food in the world.
As per the official WTO data, US has exported food and agricultural products worth approximately $181.3 billion in 2024. The three countries USA, Brazil, and China account for around 27% of the total agricultural exports in the world.
According to the WTO data, The major countries in Americas, such as USA, Brazil, Mexico, and Canada contribute around 30% of the total agricultural export in the world. US leads the exporters list in the world with 12.1% of the global agricultural exports.

Top Exported Products by USA
USA is able to generate high export revenue and maintain its position as the largest exporter of food and agricultural products in the world mainly due to the soybeans, corn, wheat, tree nuts and beef.
According to the WTO data for 2024, US has exported 21788 thousand tons of wheat, along with 52327 thousand tons of soybeans. Similarly it has exported 962.5 thousand tons of bovine meat or beef, and 1742thousand tons of nuts.
USA is also the world’s leading exporter of corn and has generated revenue worth $14.34 billion from corn exports.
Top Export Markets for United States
The primary market for United States in Corn is Mexico, which accounts for roughly 35-40% of the total corn exports by US in 2024.
Similarly, Mexico was the largest export market of US wheat, accounting for around 3.79 million metric tons in 2024.
While China is the world’s largest producer of agricultural goods, most of the produce is consumed domestically, and yet China ranks in the top 3 exporters of agricultural goods globally.
