CUSAT CAT-2015 Eligibility Criteria

CUSAT CAT is a state level examination, conducted by Cochin University of Science and Technology and every year a good number of candidates appear every year in this examination. The admission is totally on the basis of rank obtained in the CUUSAT CAT of the respective year. Eligibility criteria for the CUSAT CAT is as follows.
Regular B. Tech/B.E:

• Candidates must be Indian Citizens.
• They must satisfy the domicile requirements of Kerala
• They must have passed the 10+2 of the state of Kerala or any other equivalent examination from a recognized board.
• They must have studied Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry as compulsory subjects.
• They must have secured a minimum of 50% in Mathematics
• They must have secured an aggregate of 50% in the total marks of mathematics, physics and chemistry put together.
• Note: SC/ST candidates are eligible for admission, if they have pass marks in qualifying examination except for Marine Engineering.

B. Tech (Instrumentation Technology)

• In addition to the general criteria of eligibility, candidates must fulfill the below conditions to be eligible.
• They must have secured a minimum of 55% in Mathematics
• They must have secured an aggregate of 60% in the total marks of mathematics, physics and chemistry put together

B. Tech (Marine Engineering):

• In addition to the general criteria of eligibility, candidates must fulfill the below conditions to be eligible.
• They must have secured a minimum of 55% in Mathematics
• They must have secured an aggregate of 60% in the total marks of mathematics, physics and chemistry put together
• Candidates must have obtained a minimum of 50% in English in Class X and XII (applicable to SC/ST)
• Age Limit for eligible candidates will be 25 years as on September 1, 2014
• Admissions will be based on directions from the DG Shipping (Govt. of India)
• Vocational/Diploma holders are not eligible.
