The 17-week training program scheduled to be conducted by the Delhi Metro Rail Corporation for the new recruits of Rapid Metrorail Gurgaon Limited (RMGL) commenced on 17 September 2012. RMGL is a consortium that is engaged in building of the 6.1 kilometer Rapid Metro network in Gurgaon and will connect the Sikanderpur Metro station to Cyber City and NH-8 in Gurgaon. The same body will be looking forward for its operations in the future. The rapid metro is scheduled to come under operations by April 2013.
During this intensive training period of 17-weeks, the DMRC will train people using special training modules, designed with a purpose to suit the requirements of Rapid Metro. The candidates will be taught about the technologies used and its operations like Automatic Train Protection (ATP) and how a metro station works.
