The International Cricket Council (ICC) on 4 April 2016 launched the official ICC men’s and women’s Team Rankings from Test, One Day International (ODI) and T20I cricket.
India retained its number one position in the T20 team rankings that it achieved on 26 January 2016 for the first time after August 2011. India retained its position with 126 rating points and is followed by West Indies (125 points) and New Zealand (120 points).

On the other hand, India's Virat Kohli maintained his number one position in the ICC T20 batsmen rankings after the conclusion of the World T20. Kohli, who was adjudged player of the tournament, leads Australia’s second-ranked Aaron Finch by 86 points.
