A Special Genral Meeting (SGM) of the Boxing India (BI) on 3 May 2015 removed Sandeep Jajodia as its president.

The SGM, which was attended by 64 members of the BI, passed a No Confidence Motion in this regard.

He is the Chairman and Managing Director (CMD) of Monnet Group (an infrastructure firm) and was elected to the post unopposed in the contest held on 11 September 2014.

Incidentally, BI Secretary General Jay Kowli resigned on 2 May 2015 after fallout with Jajodia for forging his signatures in a letter to the Asian Boxing Confederation.

Earlier, the Union Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports on 2 January 2015, recognised  BI as the governing body for representing boxing in India after lifting the 2-year ban.
