Shiv Shankar Prasad Chawrasia on 12 April 2016 was honoured as the Hilton Asian Tour Golfer of the Month for March 2016 in Sentosa, Singapore.
In March 2016, Chawrasia showed excellent performance in his National Open to win his third Asian Tour title by defeating 2015 Hilton Asian Tour Golfer of the Year Anirban Lahiri and Korean rising star Jeunghun Wang by two shots.
The Hilton Asian Tour Golfer of the Month award is one of the partnership initiatives aimed at recognising outstanding efforts of Asian Tour members both at home and abroad.
About Shiv Chawrasia
• Born on 15 May 29178, Chawrasia is also known as Chipputtsia and Chow.
• After he turned professional in 1997, he went on to win eight titles on the Indian Tour and finished second twice in the Indian Open.
• In February 2008, he won the inaugural Indian Masters, which was a part of the 2008 European Tour.
• In February 2011, he won his second European Tour event winning the 2011 Avantha Masters in New Delhi.
