Terrorist attacked Dinanagar town of Gurdaspur in Punjab killing seven people

The terrorist attack was the first such attack in Punjab in two decades or since the end of Khalistani terrorism in 1980s.

Dinanagar townDinanagar town in Gurdaspur district of Punjab was in news in July 2015 as on 27 July 2015 it witnessed a terrorist attack that killed seven people including 4 policemen.

The terrorist attack was the first such attack in Punjab in two decades or since the end of Khalistani terrorism in 1980s.

All the terrorists were killed by the special units of the Punjab Police SWAT after fierce gunbattle lasting over 11 hours.

Dinanagar town, which is just 12km from the India-Pakistan border, is located 25km from the Jammu and Kashmir border and 235km from Chandigarh.
