Union Government introduced Know India Programme for young Overseas Indians

The Government of India introduced a Know India Programme for young persons of Overseas Indians.

The Government of India introduced a Know India Programme for young persons of Overseas Indians at Pravasi Bharatiya Divas (PBD) on 8 January 2014.

image The Programme is to provide an exposure to the country of their origin so that they can understand it better and more intimately.

Under the programme every year 20 young persons of Indian origin in the age group of 18 to 24 from different countries will be invited so as to provide them an opportunity to have a deeper insight into Indian people and society.
