Space Missions have always been a priority for India and the country has succeeded in creating that mark for it. India also has many missions in line this year. Gaganyaan 1 which is an uncrewed spacecraft is to be flight tested along with Aditya L1 which is meant for solar observation. Chandrayaan-3, the Lunar lander is scheduled for 2022. The first major space mission of 2022 would be the launch of the Space Launch System rocket in February. After many budgets and schedule overruns, NASA’s colossal rocket is finally set for its first uncrewed flight, which will carry several small satellites into orbits either near or around the moon.
Jim Bell at Arizona State University said, “Many of these are tests of this new idea that NASA is pushing, on whether commercial companies can deliver payloads to the moon, accepting higher risk for a lower cost.”
