Pankaj Munjal appointed as CMD of Hero Motors Group

Pankaj Munjal was on 20 July 2015 appointed as Chairman and Managing Director (CMD) of Hero Motors Group. He succeeded O P Munjal, who was elevated to the position of Chairman Emeritus.

Pankaj Munjal joined the Hero group in 1988 as a trainee and was appointed as its Co-Chairman and Managing Director in December 2011.

Hero Motors is a former moped and scooter manufacturer based in Delhi, India. It is a part of multinational company Hero Group, which currently owns Hero Motocorp and Hero Cycles.

The group comprises cycle major Hero Cycles; auto parts manufacturing companies Hero Motors Ltd, ZF Hero Chassis Systems and Munjal Kiriu Industries; hospitality arm Munjal Hospitality and luxury home decor products company Oma Livings.
