Indian Coast Guard Notified Recruitment for Navik (Domestic Branch) Posts 2014

Indian Coast Guard, an Armed Force of the Union under Ministry of Defence, invited applications from unmarried male candidates for recruitment to the posts of Cook and Steward as Navik (Domestic Branch) through 10th Pass Entry for 01/2015 Batch. Interested candidates should send their applications to the ICG office by post so as to reach the concerned authority by the prescribed last date – 25 July 2014 (31 July 2014 for candidates from North East regions, Andaman & Nicobar Island, Lakshadweep and Kavarathi Islands).

Pay Scale: Pay Band of Rs.5200 –20200 with Grade Pay of Rs.1900 + admissible allowances.

Eligibility Criterion

Age Limit: 

Minimum: 18 years

Maximum: 22 years

i.e. candidates should be born between 1 April 1993 and 31 March 1997.

[Upper age limit is relax-able by 5 years for SC/ ST candidates and by 3 years for OBC candidates]

Educational Qualifications: Matriculate

Selection Procedure

Selection of candidates will be done on the basis of their performance in the written tests, Physical Fitness Test, Interview and Medical Examination.

The Zone wise select list will be prepared from the candidates who qualify in all the tests and displayed in the Indian Coast Guard Website www.joinindiancoastguard.gov.in in the month of March 2015.

The basic training will commence in April 2015 at INS Chilka followed by sea training and professional training in the allotted trade.

Interested and eligible candidates should send their applications in the prescribed format along with attested copies of required marks-sheets/ certificates/ documents/ testimonials, a passport size color photograph and a stamped self-addressed envelope through ordinary post only to the respective Zonal recruitment centre so as to reach the concerned authority on or before the prescribed last date – 25 July 2014 (31 July 2014 for candidates from North East regions, Andaman & Nicobar Island, Lakshadweep and Kavarathi Islands).
