Eligibility Criteria for Faculty Posts

Educational Qualification:

Professor:

• Department of Architecture & Landscape Design: Candidate should possess First class Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture; and Master’s Degree in Architecture.
• Computer Science & Engineering (for candidates with engineering background): Ph.D. Degree with First Class at Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in the appropriate branch of Engineering & Technology and experience of ten years in teaching, research and/or industry, out of which at least five years at the level of Assistant Professor/ Reader or equivalent grade.
• Computer Science & Engineering (for candidates with MCA background): Ph.D. qualification(s) in the concerned/allied/relevant discipline.

Associate Professor:

• Department of Physics: Ph.D. Degree in the concerned/allied/relevant disciplines. And Master’s Degree with at least 55% marks.

Assistant Professor:

• Computer Science & Engineering (for candidates with engineering background): First Class Master’s Degree in the appropriate branch of Engineering (Engg.) & Technology (Tech).
• Computer Science & Engineering (for candidates with MCA background) & Economics: Good academic record, with at least 55% marks (or an equivalent grade in a point scale wherever grading system is followed) at the Master’s Degree level in a relevant subject from an Indian University, or an equivalent degree from an accredited foreign university.

Application Fee:

A DD of Rs. 500/- drawn in favour of ‘Registrar, SMVDU’, payable at Katra/Kakryal/Jammu. No application Fee is payable for Ph.D. qualified candidates.
