Vikram Sarabhai Space Centre or VSSC, the lead centre for launch vehicles development in ISRO, provides challenging opportunities for engineers and technicians to play important roles in multidisciplinary projects and space programmes. It invites applications from eligible candidates for filling up the post of Graduate Apprentice and Technician Apprentice across various disciplines.

  • Opening date for online registration: 17 August 2011 from 10 am
  • Closing Date for online registration: 2 September 2011 till 5 pm
  • Closing Date for Receiving Application by Speed-post: 15 September 2011

Eligibility Criteria

Educational Qualification

Graduate Apprentice: First Class Bachelor's Degree (not less than 65%) in the concerned discipline. For Library Science: Graduate in BA/ BCom/ BSc/ BCA/ BBA + First class Degree (not less than 60%)

Technician Apprentice: First Class Diploma in the concerned discipline from a State Council or Board of Technical Education established by a State Government or by a University.

Stipend

  • Graduate Apprentice: Rs 5000
  • Technician Apprentice: Rs 3000

Age Limit (as on 2 September 2011): Maximum 35 years. Relaxation in age limit will be admissible as per the rules laid by Haryana Government

Selection Procedure: The selection procedure will comprise of written test followed by an interview.

How to Apply

  • Interested candidates need to apply online on website http://www.vssc.gov.in/ after which they will be provided with an on-line Registration Number.
  • After submission, the confirmatory copies of on-line registration should be affixed with a recent passport size photograph along with attested copies of all testimonials in proof of educational qualifications, caste, experience etc. The application then, with enclosures, needs to be send by speed post to the "Senior Administrative Officer, Recruitment & Review Section, Vikram Sarabhai Space Centre, ISRO Post, Thiruvananthapuram - 695 022". The confirmatory copies should be sent in a cover super scribed "Application for Graduate/ Technician Apprenticeship Training (Discipline: _________________)".
