Pariksha Pe Charcha 2024 LIVE Updates: PM Modi Interacts with Students on PPC Discussing Exam Stress, Career Choices

The Pariksha Pe Charcha 2024 event will begin at 11 am today. The 7th edition of the event is being held at the Bharat Mandapam, ITPO, New Delhi.

Addressing the issue, the PM mentions that if a student doesn't come to a teacher with their problems it means that they do not think of their relation with the teacher beyond the subject. Teachers need to step out of the syllabus and pattern and create a bond with the students so that they share every problem with them. Teachers must take the initiative to create a bond with the students which can strengthen the student and even their parents. 

The 7th edition of Pariksha Pe Charcha with Prime Minister Narendra Modi concludes. The PM highlighted the importance of managing time, studying social media and stress during exams, tacking peer pressure, and tops for parents to manage the stress their children face during the exams. 

The 7th edition of Pariksha Charcha 2024 was held at Bharat Mangapam NEw Delhi from morning 11 am onwards. Students, parents and teachers from across the country posed their questions to the prime minister in an effort to get guidance from him regarding exams and managing stress among other vital topics. 

Students ask PM questions regarding how he manages his life in such a stressful job. Answering the questions, the PM mentioned that everybody has stress related to their situation in life. Facing challenges and finding a solution is vital. 

Use of technology at a moderate level with allotting due time to the use of social media is vital says PM Narendra Modi. Students must learn how to the use technology they have at hand. Families must have rules like no electronic devices at the dining table, following discipline, and maintaining a no-gadget zone. The right use of technology is a must. Children must also share their knowledge of technology with their parents and keep them in the loop of how they use this technology for their studies. Transparency in the use of technology within a family must be a priority. 

The PM addressing the question regarding the choice of course and career for the future mentioned that students tend to take career advice from people they like or the advice they feel is convenient for them. Confusion and indecisiveness are the worst for students. Students must make sure that they must weigh all their options before making a choice. 

PM addresses the question regarding the trust issues or a trust deficit that families have concerning the hard work of their children. The PM advises that teachers, students, and parents need to analyse the trust issues they face with children. there may be an underlying issue concerning distrust parents have concerning the whereabouts of their children. Students need to analyse the reason why their parents do not trust them. Students must analyse if they follow what they claim to their parents.

Teachers and parents ask the PM questions regarding the lack of innovative minds in students due to the availability of technology, managing studies, and social media, and using it as a medium and not a distraction. 

Students must introspect about how much time they give themselves to breathe fresh air or just get out of the house. Students must make sure that they give themselves a break. Sleep is very important and sufficient sleep plays a pivotal role in maintaining a healthy lifestyle. 

Students and teachers have asked the PM for guidance regarding maintaining a balance between studies and maintaining their health. The Prime Minister addressing the question shared an example of how a student thinks about changing their phone after continuous use and in the same way recharging the body is important. 

Students must create a balance between their studies and maintaining a healthy life. Keeping themselves healthy is important, especially during exams. A healthy mind is required for a healthy life.

Students must reach the exam hall before the exams begin and instead of putting themselves under pressure, create a smooth environment and relieve themselves of all the stress. Such an environment will help students to ease themselves and not think about anything else before the exam or during the exam. 

Although the question has been addressed in the previous editions of PPC, students seek guidance relating to mistakes made by students during an exam due to the fear and panic they face during the exam. The PM when addressing the issue mentions that students need to come out of the psyche students are put in by parents who treat the exam like a huge event. Such situations must be avoided at all times and let students be themselves during the exam. 

Answering the questions posed by teachers regarding their role in motivating students during their exams, the PM mentioned that any teacher who thinks about how to handle the pressure faced by students, must remember that every teacher must straighten their relation with students and creates a bond right from the first day of school until the last exam. Such bond created may help students and they may not feel pressure during exams. 

Addressing the issue of peer pressure at Pariksha Pe Charcha 2024, unhealthy competition, and parental comparison, the PM gives an example of how students can help their own by standing with their peers in times of need. Competition should be with yourselves and not with your friends. Friends scoring higher marks must be an inspiration and not pressure, the PM adds.

The environment of competition and pressure begins at home when parents treat two siblings differently. Slowly implement the study strategy instead of creating pressure on themselves to study more. Understanding the types of pressure put on students by themselves, parents or teachers is vital says PM.

Students have showcased various projects related to science and technology through Atal Thinking Labs. Students have taken the issue of environmental pollution seriously with innovations like air purifying devices.
