High Court of Himachal Pradesh, Shimla issued notification inviting applications for filling up 30 posts – 18 posts of Judgment Writer (Class-III) on contract basis, 10 posts of Steno-Typist (Class-III) and 2 posts of Steno-Typist (Class-III) on contract basis -- in the Civil & Sessions Divisions in the State of Himachal Pradesh. Interested candidates should send their applications in the prescribed format to the concerned District and Sessions Judges in the State of Himachal Pradesh where the candidate resides by post so as to reach the concerned office on or before 12May 2014.

Type of recruitment: on Contract basis
Pay Scale:Rs.10300-34800 with Grade Pay of Rs.3800(or revised Grade Pay) per month; on fixed contractual emoluments per month.
Age limit:-(as on 1 January 2013)
Minimum: 18 years
Maximum: 45 years
Qualifications: Graduation with a speed of 80 words per minute in English Stenography and typing speed in English at 40 words per minute on Computers
2. Steno Typist (Class-III): 10 posts
Pay Scale:Rs.5910- 20200 with Grade Pay of Rs.2000per month with initial start of Rs.8240 per month.
Age limit:-(as on 1 January 2013)
Minimum: 18 years
Maximum: 45 years
Qualifications: Graduate with a speed of 80 words per minute in English Stenography and typing speed in English at 40 words per minute on Computers
3. Steno Typist (Class-III): 2 posts
Type of recruitment: on Contract basis
Pay Scale:Rs.5910- 20200 with Grade Pay of Rs.2000 per month; on fixed contractual emoluments per month.
Age limit:-(as on 1 January 2013)
Minimum: 18 years
Maximum: 45 years
Qualifications: Graduation with a speed of 80 words per minute in English Stenography and typing speed in English at 40 words per minute on Computers
Selection Procedure:Selection of candidates will be done on the basis of their performance in the Interview.
The list of selected candidates will be drawn first against the regular posts and thereafter against contractual posts, as per merit.
Application fee: Non-refundable Application fee of Rs.200(Rs.150 for reserved category candidates) is to be paid in the shape of crossed Demand Draft/ IPOdrawn in favor of ‘Registrar General, High Court of Himachal Pradesh’, payable at Shimla.
How to Apply:Interested and eligible candidate should send their applications, in the prescribed format, along with fee DD/ IPO in original and copies of all relevant certificates/ documents/ testimonials to the Office of the concerned District and Sessions Judges, where the candidate resides,in the State of Himachal Pradesh by post so as to reach the concerned office on or before 12 May 2014.
On the envelope carrying the application, candidates should super-scribe “Application for the post of (Name of the post applied for)”.
