How to give your best in IBPS Clerk Preliminary Exam 2015?

Institute of Banking Personnel Selection (IBPS) is all set to conduct the Common Written Examination (CWE) for recruitment of personnel for Clerical cadre Posts in the Participating Organisations. The exam is scheduled in the month of December and January 2016. The examination will be held in two tiers: Preliminary and Main. This is the first time that IBPS is conducting two written exams for recruiting clerks. Candidates who will qualify in preliminary examination and shortlisted will have to appear in Main examination. The short listed candidates in main examination will subsequently be called for Interview.

Practicing of Mock Test:

If you are willing to crack through the written exam of IBPS Clerk, you need to have a strict look at your watch. You can’t let a second go waste. There are 100 questions overall that needs to get solved in 60 minutes which makes the job a real tough one. You would get less than a minute’s time to solve a particular question. Hence, you need to start practicing today while keeping a watch beside you, counting the time that you take to finish your practice sets. Some of the papers like Reasoning and Numerical Ability take more time to solve and thus a proper adjustment should be made in the time given to these questions while you are practicing, so that you can perform the same while giving the examination. Prepare a revision time table: Make a revision strategy, timetable and study according to the schedule just before the examination .Candidates are advised to revise all the formulas and rules for each subject.  For example: Revise basic English grammar rules from any grammar book. Candidates are also advised to revise entire syllabus at least two times during last days just before the examination.

Cross-check the options:  Sometimes one can easily get the answer by just checking the given options. So cross check the given options before marking your answer. 

Avoid wastage of Time: Don’t spend too much time on reviewing question paper and avoid solving a particular question repeatedly. It will lead to have inadequate time to solve other sections.

Avoid guessing answers: With each wrong answer you would decrease your chances of selection in the written examination as negative marking is applicable in this examination. Guessing doesn’t help in such examinations to topple the hurdle.
