Focus on Professional Knowledge: This is the most important section of IBPS specialist officer examination as this section has maximum weightage with 75 marks of 50 questions.
This section basically consists of questions from the academics which candidates have studied in their graduation. So, if candidates have good command in their academics part, then they can easily score good marks in professional knowledge paper. Candidates should revise this section carefully and analyze the previous year paper as it is noticed that some questions have been repeated over the last few years in this section.  Candidates should to try to solve this in 15-20 minutes. This is scoring section as it is less time consuming than that of others.

Attempt a section in two rounds: Candidates should attempt each section in the exam in two rounds. While attempting each section – first do the questions, for which you are sure and which is less time consuming. Leave tougher questions for the second round. This way, candidates will not miss any easy question in the paper and will be able to maximize the score.

Start with easier section:  Candidates should start the paper with the section in which they are more comfortable. It will boost their confidence and set the pace for the exam.

Do proper revision of general awareness: Candidates who have apply for Law officer and Rajbhasha Adhikari should focus on General Awareness as they can optimize their score with the help of this section as it takes less time to solve.

Clear cut off in each subject: The candidates shall be required to qualify in each test as per cut-off marks determined in each test. Each candidate will have to secure a minimum score on each of the tests as well as on the Total to be considered to be provisionally shortlisted for interview. So candidate should allot time for each section and make plan for the same in advance.

Be Careful in Marking Your Answers: There will be penalty for wrong answer marked by you in the objective tests. So its is better to leave the question rather than attempting it wrong.
