In an official update for postgraduate dental students across the state, the Karnataka Examinations Authority, KEA, has extended the deadline for the Master of Dental Surgery MDS 2026 Round 1 option entry process. Candidates seeking admission to PG Dental Medicine courses across government and private dental colleges in Karnataka now have until 2:00 PM today, September 7, 2026, to submit and lock their preferred college and course choices.

The announcement was officially issued by H. Prasanna, IAS, Executive Director of the Karnataka Examinations Authority, encouraging eligible candidates to make full use of the extended window to lock in their preferences without delay.

Extension Details and Administrative Guidelines

Following the publication of the PG Dental seat matrix and fee structure by the Medical Education Department, the option entry process was started on the official KEA website. To enroll candidates needing additional time to arrange their preferences, the administration decided to extend the submission deadline.

• Step 2: Click on the "PGET 2026 / NEET MDS Option Entry" link listed under the quick links section.
• Step 3: Log in using your PGET registration number, testing ID, and security key.
• Step 4: Review the displayed provisional seat matrix and select your preferred dental institutions and MDS specialisations in strict order of priority.
• Step 5: Save, review, and print out the acknowledgement slip for future reference during the seat allotment phases.
