All India Council of Technical Education (AICTE) was established in 1945 as a national level Advisory Body to conduct survey on technical education and promote technical education in India.
The AICTE comprises of eight Departments, namely:

About AICTE
AICTE is popularly known as All India council for technical education and this is a statutory body. This body was established in November 1945 and is essentially responsible for accurate planning and development. This body is responsible for conduction of both graduate and post graduate courses. The sole aim of this organization is development and spreading of education, facilitating world class education, development of high quality education, focus on non- formal education, providing economical education to all, distribution of information and many more. All these are basic agendas of AICTE.
The economic progress and broadcasting of education is highly dependent on this organization. Education is an extremely important part of one’s life. If a person is educated, he/she will be able to distinguish between what is right and what is wrong. It has been rightly said that without education it becomes extremely difficult to contribute to the world or earn money. Education is not only about reading and writing. Providing the right kind of education to a person is extremely important.
The headquarters of AICTE are in New Delhi. AICTE is responsible for organizing courses such as management studies, vocational training, pharmaceutical education, architecture, hotel management, and catering technology, and many more. AICTE even has its regional offices in various places such as Kolkata, Chennai, Kanpur, Mumbai, Chandigarh, Guwahati, Bhopal, Bangalore, Hyderabad, and Gurgaon.
Similar to these are CG PMT, JCECE and many more. CG PMT is a state level examination that is conducted by Chhattisgarh professional educational board and there are various under which the entrance examinations are conducted. Courses such as MBBS and BDS are conducted this board. In all such examinations, after conduction of examination then is the shortlisting of candidates and once candidates are short listed, then comes the counseling procedure. The counseling procedure is extremely easy to follow. The allotment of subjects is done through computerized distribution parallel counseling. There will be no separate counseling letter that is sent to the students. Students are supposed to report on the reporting time as per the schedule. Also it is important for the students to attend the counseling in person and there should be maximum one guardian present along the student. Students are also required to carry original documents and they should be attested, otherwise they will not be considered valid. In a nutshell, it is important that every guideline should be followed. The counseling process has different stages and levels.
