Bank of India was founded on 7th September, 1906 by a group of eminent businessmen from Mumbai. It has 3101 branches in India spread over all states/ union territories including 141 specialised branches which are controlled through 48 Zonal Offices. It invites application from eligible candidates for recruitment as Marketing Executive and Law Officers.

Name of the Post & Number of Vacancies

  • Marketing Executive (MBA) (Post Code 001): 8 posts
  • Marketing Executive (MBA) (Post Code 002): 278 posts
  • Law Officers (Post Code 003): 3 posts

Vacancies for Marketing Executive (Post Code 001) and Marketing Executive (Post Code 002) are not suitable for PWD candidates as the job requires communication/travelling in large areas.

  • Date of Commencement of Application: 2 August 2011
  • Closing date for submitting online application: 16 August 2011
  • Last date for making changes in the application: 19 August 2011
  • Fee can be deposited between: 2 August 2011 and 16 August 2011
  • Relevant date for Age/Qualification/Experience: 31 July 2011

Educational Qualification

  • Marketing Executive (MBA): MBA/ PGDBM with specialization in Marketing with Minimum 50% marks from College/ University approved by UGC/ AICTE
  • Marketing Executive (MBA): MBA/ PGDBM with specialization in Marketing with Minimum 60% marks from College/ University approved by UGC/ AICTE
  • Law Officers: LLB with minimum 50% at LLB level. The eligible candidates should be regular full time student, from recognized university.

Age Limit: Age Limit for each of the above post is between 21 years and 30 years as on 31 July 2011

Application Fee: No fee will be charged from SC/ ST/ PWD/ Ex- Servicemen candidates and fee for other category students is Rs 400.

Selection Procedure: The selection procedure will comprise of written test, group discussion and/ or interview.

Candidates have to secure minimum qualifying marks in each of the objective test i.e. 40% for General Category (35% in case of SC/ST/OBC) and 50% average marks in all the objective test taken together for General Category (45% in case of SC/ST/OBC).

Note: There will not be any negative marking for wrong answers.

Group Discussion And/ Or Interview Marks: Maximum marks for Group Discussion/ Interview will be 100. Minimum qualifying marks in Group Discussion/ Interview are 60% for General Category AND 55% in case of SC/ST/OBC category.

Final Selection: Merit list of the candidates based on the marks obtained by them in Written-Test/ Group Discussion and/ or Personal Interview will be prepared in descending order on the basis of the aggregate marks obtained, under the respective SC/ ST/ OBC/ GEN Category. The final selection will be made on the basis of this merit list.

How to Apply

  • The candidate should apply on-line through website http://www.bankofindia.co.in/
  • Take out Print-out of Challan and make the payment of fees in any of the Bank of India branches on or before 16 August 2011
  • Candidates should have a scanned (digital) image of his photograph and signature as per the specifications
  • Candidates should Apply Online by re-visiting the Bank's website. After submitting application, they should note/ remember registration number and password for future reference.
