Union Minister of State for Personnel Jitendra Singh on Tuesday said that the new UDAAN scheme of the Center will help the youth of minority communities in preparing for the Civil Services Examination. The official statement said that this scheme of the Modi government, launched through the Union Ministry of Minorities, will provide financial assistance to the candidates who have passed the preliminary examination of the Civil Services.

Government of India, Ministry of Minority Affairs is implementing the scheme Nai Udaan- Scheme for Support to Minority Students for preparation of Main Examination, who clear Prelims conducted by Union Public Service Commission, Staff Selection Commission, State Public Service Commissions The objective of the Scheme is to provide financial support to the minority candidates clearing Prelims conducted by Union Public Service Commission, Staff Selection Commission and State Public Service Commissions to adequately equip them to compete for appointment to Civil Services in the Union and the State Governments and to increase the representation of the minority in the Civil Services.
Union Minister Jitendra Singh also appreciated the decision of Minister of Minorities Affairs Mr. Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi's decision to enhance the family income limit for availing the benefit of the scheme from ₹ 6 lakh to ₹ 8 lakh per annum during 2019.
Felicitation of Successful Candidates of Minority Communities in CSE 2019
Recently the Government organized a felicitation programme to honour the successful minority communities candidates in the Civil Services 2019 results. Addressing the programme, Minister of State for Personnel Mr. Jitendra Singh said "Now the successful candidates are coming from virtually all sections of the society, every region of the country and from different socio-economic strata," He also added that “Prime Minister Narendra Modi takes a keen interest in the training curriculum of IAS/ civil services officers”
Mr. Singh also referred to the valedictory function of the last batch of IAS probationers which was addressed by Prime Minister Narendra Modi at Gujarat's Kevadia, the site of the statue of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, who is known as one of the architects of the Indian Administrative Service.
He also referred to visits undertaken by the Prime Minister to the Lal Bahadur Shastri National Academy of Administration, Mussoorie, and his regular interactions with every new batch of IAS pass outs.
