CTET September 2014: Notification

The Central Board of Secondary Education, Delhi  is going to conduct the Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) for a person to be eligible for appointment as a teacher for classes I to VIII on 21 September 2014 (Sunday). Interested Candidates may apply On-line for CTET-SEPT 2014 on CBSE/CTET website. The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) is a Board of Education for public and private schools, under the Union Government of India. It affiliates all Kendriya Vidyalayas, all Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalayas, private schools, and most of the schools approved by central government of India.

• Opening date for Online Application Forms: 15 July 2014
• Closing date for Online Application Forms: 4 August 2014
• Last date for submission/updation of fees: 6 August 2014
• Date of Download Admit Card from Board’s website: 22 August 2014
• Date of CTET Examination: 21 September 2014

Schedule of Examination

• Date & Time of Paper- II Examination (Classes VI-VIII): 21 September 2014 at 09.30 TO 12.00 Hrs.
• Date & Time of Paper- I Examination (Classes I-V): 21 September 2014 at 14.00 TO 16.30 Hrs.

CTET-SEP 2014 Details

• Primary Level Teacher: Classes I-V
• Junior Level Teacher: Classes VI-VIII

Eligibility Criteria

Educational Qualification

• For Classes I-V (Primary Stage):  12^th or its equivalent with minimum 50% marks and passed or appearing in final year of 2- year Diploma in Elementary Education. OR 12^th or its equivalent with minimum 45% marks and passed or appearing in final year of 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education in accordance with the NCTE (Recognition Norms and Procedure), Regulations, 2002. OR 12^th or its equivalent with minimum 50% marks and passed or appearing in final year of 4-year Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.El.Ed). OR 12^th or its equivalent with minimum 50% marks and passed or appearing in final year of 2-year Diploma in Education (Special Education). OR Graduation and passed or appearing in final year of two year Diploma in Elementary Education.
• For Classes VI-VIII (Elementary Stage):  Graduation and passed or appearing in final year of 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education. OR Graduation with minimum 50% marks and passed or appearing in 1-year Bachelor in Education (B.Ed). OR Graduation with minimum 45% marks and passed or appearing in 1-year Bachelor in Education (B.Ed), in accordance with the NCTE (Recognition Norms and Procedure) Regulations issued from time to time in this regard. OR 12^th or its equivalent with minimum 50% marks and passed or appearing in final year of 4-year Bachelor in Elementary Education (B.El.Ed). OR 12^th or its equivalent with minimum 50% marks and passed or appearing in final year of 4-year B.A/B.Sc.Ed or B.A. Ed/B.Sc.Ed. OR Graduation with minimum 50% marks and passed or appearing in 1-year B.Ed. (Special Education).

Application Fees

• For Paper – I or Paper – II one of these: General/OBC candidate has to pay Rs.600/- and SC/ST/Diff. Abled candidate has to pay Rs.300/-.
• For Paper – I and Paper – II both: General/OBC candidate has to pay Rs.1000/- and SC/ST/Diff. Abled candidate has to pay Rs.500/-.

Selection Process

Selection of the candidate will be made on the basis of their marks obtained in the written examination.
