XLRI conducts Xavier Aptitude Test (XAT) every year to grant admission to MBA aspirants in their MBA programme. The XAT 2018 will be conducted on 7 January 2018. Paper 2 contains both objective and subjective questions. The total duration of the exam is 3.5 hours. Marking scheme for XAT is slightly different from that of CAT and in this exam students have liberty to not attend 13 questions and after 13 each un-attempted question will get you a negative score of 0.05.

XAT also considers sectional cutoff so you need to focus on each and every area of the syllabus as being good in English will not save you from the aptitude and scoring good in reasoning cannot compensate for your English score here.

40-45+ marks can be regarded safe to get you 95+ percentile, but, since percentile depends on the test taken it will vary accordingly
