The Directorate of Film Festivals is an Indian governmental agency that initiates and presents the International Film Festival of India, the National Film Awards and the Indian Panorama. It was set up by the Government of India in 1973 as a vehicle of Cultural Exchange under the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting.
