While CBT 1 is a screening test common for all, the marks will play a psychological role for CBT 2. Historically, zones like Allahabad and Mumbai see higher cutoffs (75+), while Malda and Siliguri might be slightly lower.

For the CEN 06/2025 Graduate recruitment, approximately 54 lakh candidates have applied for 5,810 posts. This means the competition ratio is roughly 1:930. Such high numbers are the reason RRB releases admit cards in phases—exactly 4 days before the exam date.

In case of any discrepancy in the admit card, such as an incorrect name or date of birth, candidates should immediately reach out to the RRB Helpdesk. Each regional board has specific helpline numbers and email IDs.

While candidates are waiting for the admit card, they should give the final touch to the CBT 1 syllabus. The exam consists of 100 questions: General Awareness (40), Mathematics (30), and General Intelligence & Reasoning (30). There is a negative marking of 1/3 for every wrong answer.

With only 5 days left for the first shift exam on March 16, candidates must now focus on mock tests. High-speed calculation and logical reasoning are keys to clearing the CBT 1.

Before downloading the admit card, candidates must have checked the application status. Only candidates whose status shows "Provisionally Accepted" will be issued a hall ticket. If the application was rejected due to an invalid photo or signature, then they will not be able to download the admit card.

The hall ticket contains a detailed list of important instructions along with Dos and don'ts. Prohibited items include electronic gadgets, calculators, watches, belts, and jewellery. Pens are usually provided by the centre. Candidates are advised to wear simple clothing to speed up the security frisking process.

If a candidate faces a "Multiple Logins" or "Invalid Credentials" error, do not panic. Clear your browser cache or try using an Incognito window. Often, the server reaches its maximum capacity during the first hour of the admit card release. Wait for 15-20 minutes and try again

Candidates belonging to SC/ST categories will get the free rail travel for the CBT 1 exam. The travel authority is usually integrated into the city intimation slip or the admit card. Candidates must carry the original caste certificate and a self-attested photocopy of the travel pass while boarding the train.

For the 2026 exams, RRB has tightened security with Aadhaar-linked Biometric Authentication. This means candidates' thumbprints at the exam hall will be matched in real-time with the UIDAI database. If your biometrics are locked in the mAdhaar app, you must unlock it at least 24 hours before the exam

One of the most common reasons for rejection at the exam centre is a mismatch or blurriness in the photo and signature on the admit card. When candidates download the RRB NTPC Hall Ticket, then they must ensure that the uploaded photograph is clearly visible and matches the one they will carry. If the image is blurred or missing, contact the RRB helpdesk immediately.

Candidates must download their hall tickets from the specific RRB region they applied to. For instance, if you have applied at RRB Allahabad, then visit rrbald.gov.in. Using the wrong regional link will result in a "Login Failed" error even with correct credentials.
