Tamil Nadu Assembly elections, thus surpassing both DMK and AIADMK in many locations throughout the state. Furthermore, they defeated incumbent Chief Minister M. K. Stalin at Kolathur by about one hundred and fifty votes via their new candidate V. S. Babu.
