NEET UG Counselling 2021: National Eligibility cum Entrance Test or NEET UG Counselling 2021 Registration Process commenced from 19th January 2022 – yesterday and now MCC is all set to commence choice filling process from today. As per the official schedule released by the Medical Counselling Committee, the Choice Filling for Round 1 of the NEET UG Counselling 2021 from today i.e. 20th January until 24th January 2022. How NEET UG Counselling 2021 Seat Allotment Process work?

With the Choice filling process for Round 1 of NEET UG Counselling 2021 starting from today, it is important for candidates to know and be aware of the seat allotment process that will be followed to allot seats to them. The same has been explained in four key steps below:

  • Eligibility: All candidates who have been allotted an All India Quota, AIQ rank in NEET Results 2021 are eligible to participate in NEET UG Counselling 2021
  • Choice / Preference Filling: Seat allotment for medical aspirants participating in the NEET UG Counselling 2021 will be done on the basis of choices of preferences provided by the candidates at the registration stage. Therefore, it is important for candidates to complete choice filling and locking in the order of their preference.
  • Institute-Level Eligibility: While an AIQ – All India Quota Rank, makes a candidate eligible to participate in the counselling process; but different national medical colleges and institutes such as AIIMS and Deemed Universities, have different admission eligibility criteria. Therefore, it is important for candidates to check these institute-level eligibility criteria and make sure they meet them, before picking them as their choice.
  • Freezing Seats After Allotment: For Round 1 of NEET UG Counselling, the Seat Allotment Results will be declared on 29th January 2022. Therefore, after allotment of seat, candidates have to freeze the seat given to them. Once candidate freezes the allotted seat, it means they has accepted the seat and will now be proceeding with the admissions process.
