What are Passkeys?
The X’s Help Centre page mentions: “Passkey is a feature that allows a secure and convenient alternative to passwords, designed to streamline sign-ins across multiple devices. Passkeys provide enhanced security compared to traditional passwords since they are individually generated by your device for each account, making them less susceptible to phishing attacks and unauthorized access.”
Imagine logging in to your favourite websites and apps using just your fingerprint or face ID. That's the magic of Passkeys! These digital keys are stored securely on your device and eliminate the need for remembering and typing complex passwords. They work across different devices and platforms, making online access seamless and effortless.
Just like how you unlock your iPhone with FaceID or TouchID, passkeys work in the same manner.
