329 Group ‘D’ staff Required by North Western Railway, Jaipur

Railway recruitment cell, North Western Railway, Jaipur issued notification for recruitment of 329 Group ‘D’ staff (Trackmen, Hamal, Khallasi, Helper,  Gateman and Pointsman) in Pay Band-1 of Rs.5200-20200 with Grade Pay of Rs.1800/- .

                  23 October 2012 (1730 Hrs) (For residents of Assam, Meghalaya, Manipur, Arunachal Pradesh, Mizoram, Nagaland, Tripura, Sikkim, Jammu & Kashmir, Lahaul & Spiti Districts and Pangi Sub-Division of Chamba District of Himachal Pradesh, Andaman, Nicobar and Lakshadweep islands and those residing abroad)

Pay Scale: Pay Band I -- Rs.5200-20200 + GP Rs.1800

Educational Qualification: 10th standard or ITI or equivalent from a recognized institution/Board. Those appearing or awaiting results are not eligible.
Age Limit: Minimum: 18 years
                 Maximum: 33 years (as on 01 January 2013)

Fees: A non-refundable examination fee of Rs.40/- has to be paid via crossed IPO from any Post Ofice OR crossed DD from any Nationalized Bank, drawn in favour of “Assistant Personnel Officer (Recruitment & training), Railway Recruitment Cell, North Western Railway, Jaipur” & payable at Jaipur. The Indian Postal Order/ Bank Draft should not be obtained earlier to the date of issue of the Employment Notice or after the closing date.

[SC/ST, Persons With Disabilities (PWD), women, minority candidates (Muslims, Christians, Sikhs, Buddhists & Zorastrians [Parsis]) and candidates belonging to economically backward classes (with family income < Rs.50,000/- p.a.) need not pay this fee.]

How to Apply: Completely filled in application, in prescribed format, along with copies of required documents / certificates should be sent by ordinary post to the “Assistant Personnel Officer (Recruitment & Training), Railway Recruitment Cell, North Western Railway, Durgapur Railway Station, Jaipur - 302018” or dropped into the Application Drop Box available at the office by 8/10/2012.

Envelope containing the application should be super-scribed: “Application for the post of GP1800/- of Employment Notice No. 02/2012(RRC/NWR)” and their community SC/ST/OBC/UR/Physically handicapped.  

One envelope should have only one Application. In case, more than one application is sent in an envelope, all the applications would be rejected.

Candidates who have been debarred from appearing in any of the Railway Recruitment Board / Railway Recruitment Cell Examination need not apply unless their debar period expires by the closing date.

Selection Procedure:
The recruitment procedure consists of Written Examination (WE) followed by Physical Efficiency Test (PET), Document Verification (DV) & Medical Examination (ME).

Candidates who fulfill the eligibility conditions will be called for WE. Those who qualify WE will be called for a PET. The number of candidates to be called for PET will be four times the number of vacancies.  Passing the PET is mandatory and the same will be qualifying in nature. Only those candidates who qualify in the PET will be called for DV as per merit. PWD candidates are exempted from appearing for PET.

Date and venue for Written Examination, Physical Efficiency Test and Documents Verification will be fixed by the RRC-NWR and intimated to eligible candidates BY POST. Examination schedule may be published on Website and Newspapers.

The candidates whose applications are rejected are also intimated through post along with the reason/s for rejection.
Selection by RRC does not confer upon candidate any right of Appointment in the Railway. Selected candidates will have to undergo training wherever training is prescribed for the post.
