Postal Assistant/ Sorting Assistant- Candidates are recruited under Post Offices, Savings bank control Organization, Circle/Regional Offices, Mail motor services, Return letter offices, Foreign post organization, Railway mail service and various to multi-purpose.
Lower Division Clerk- you are responsible here for Registering mails, Indexing-registering & maintaining file registers, receiving & maintaining records in documents, Good typing and preparing simple drafts and statements.
Data entry operator-Their job includes an expertise on MS-Excel, MS-Word and other office applications in preparing reports and entering & managing data. The typing speed should be good for this post.
SSC Multi-tasking Staff job profile and duties
Court Clerk-This is an entry-level clerical position in courts. They are responsible for handling administrative work related to hearings placing, keeping records in the rack, and taking them out whenever these are required.
SSC MTS work profile
Through this entry, a candidate is posted as Peon, Jamadar, Daftary, Gestetner, Chowkidar, Mali, Driver, etc.

SSC CHSL: Salary details
Under CHSL posts, Salary of the officials is as follows-
Postal Assistant/Sorting Assistant- For this post the offered pay scale is Rs. 5,200-20,200 and grade pay is Rs. 2,400. The gross salary for this post in Metro cities is Rs. 26,000 and after tax deduction, in-hand salary will be approximately Rs. 23,500.
Lower Division Clerks- The pay scale for this post is same that is Rs. 5,200-20,200 and the grade pay of Rs. 1,900 is decided. In Metro cities, the total salary is stipulated to Rs.20, 000 and in-hand salary is Rs. 18,000 approximately.
Data Entry Operator- The salary for this post fall under Rs. 5,200-20,200 pay band with a grade pay of Rs. 1,900 & Rs. 2,400. It depends upon the postings. The computed gross salary is around Rs. 26,000.
Importance of previous year papers to qualify SSC CHSL exam
Court Clerks- This post is included for the first time in 2016 recruitment. For metro cities, the gross salary is approximately 20,000 under the pay scale of Rs. 5,200-20,200 & the grade pay of Rs.1, 900. After deducting tax, the in-hand salary nearly is Rs.18, 000.
The above-mentioned salary is as per the 6thpay commission. The 7thpay commission is not included in these parameters.

SSC MTS: Promotional Avenues
As per the rule 5(2) of Central Civil Accounts Service, 5% of the vacancies in LDC are to be filled by promotion on seniority basis out of the Group ‘C’ MTS employees who had served three years of regular service in the grade pay of Rs. 1,800.
- First Promotion: Rs. 1900/- after 3 years of service
- Second Promotion: Rs. 2000/- after 3 years of service
- Third Promotion: Rs. 2400/- after 5 years of service
- And so on up to Rs.5400/-
