SSC CHSL exam recruits candidates for the post of Lower division clerk, upper division clerks, postal assistants and court clerks. From 2016 onwards, High courts had already stated to accept court clerks from this entry. The overall difficulty of SSC CHSL exam is of 12th level. However, due to high competition and limited seats it has become a very tough exam to crack.
Thus, it has become evident that a little bit more than adequate preparation is required to crack SSC CHSL exam. Before going to the 100 days plan, let us look at the selection process and syllabus.
SSC CHSL: Selection Process in Brief
There will be three tiers in the selection process.
- Tier-1: Written exam- Objective type- 100 Questions- 200 Marks-Online Mode
- Tier-2: Written exam- Descriptive type- 100 Marks-Offline Mode
- Tier-3: Skill test- Typing test
Now, you are aware of the changes made in the exam pattern and online exam, it is very important to start preparing early for the exam. - Bring clarity on the concepts based on Analogy, syllogism, social intelligence, world building and classifications
- Understand various elements of diagram, take note of positions and directions
- Solve previous question paper to get familiarity about the inquired questions
English language and comprehension
- Grammar rules and its usages
- Get a thorough understanding of grammar topics such as sentence completion, antonyms and synonyms
- Read newspapers, magazines, reference books to improve vocabulary
- Work hard and allocate much time for English Comprehension
- Prepare list of words for spelling test
Quantitative Aptitude
- Memorize mathematical formulae and shortcut tricks
- Do a lot of practice to ensure speed and accuracy
- Get clarity on fundamental mathematical concepts
General Knowledge
- Memorize all common and important events for History, Geography, politics, Culture, Economics, General Science, sports and etc.
