SSC recruits candidates under various government departments for different posts as per the demand in these offices via several entries. The recruitments are for different profiles and thus require different skill sets while preparing. SSC CHSL is one of these entries through which you will be deputed under Grade-‘C’ & ‘D’ pay scales.

Although the candidates need to be aware of the fact that there will be a tough competition for these posts offered by the commission. The minimum qualification for appearing in SSC CHSL exam is higher secondary or 10+2. The numbers of applicants keep on rising every year and thus the level of competition too is soaring high. Amidst this heavy competition, the candidates can only make to the selection with committed practice and precise approach towards preparation.

Here is a breakup of the preparatory time that you should give in studying subjects.

Quantitative Aptitude

Quantitative Aptitude is a tricky paper and needs repetitive practice to expert in the skills and methods used for solving the questions in limited time. So that, you will be in no wonder in the examination hall. Hence, a candidate must invest 2 hours to 3 hours a day for this section deliberately.

General Intelligence and Reasoning

Reasoning is another such paper, which requires intensive preparation, observance of skills and methods. The paper should be read and practiced at least 2 hours a day for better results in the examination.

English Language

English language skills and its various components like reading comprehension, vocabulary, and grammar are tested in the examination and the candidates should practice at least 1 to 2 hours a day with this section.

General knowledge

It requires your time to be spent on the newspapers or searching of important news over the internet. You can spend almost an hour for this paper daily and make a list of important topics that you have come across during the preparation.

Therefore, a candidate is advised to study 7 to 8 hours daily to crack SSC CHSL examination.
