• Bumrah debuted in IPL when he was 19 years old. He only played 2 matches and took 3 wickets. 

• In 2014 Bumrah made 11 appearances and got 5 wickets. This was the season that he proved to be a true IPL bowler. 

• In 2015 MI emerged a winner when Bumrah was mostly away due to an injury. He also did not play many games, and did not contribute a lot. He played 4 matches and took 3 wickets.

• In 2021, Bumrah played 14 matches and took 21 wickets. One more regular campaign and another season in which he made it clear that he was not in the same category as the majority of bowlers in the IPL.

• In the mega auction 2022, Mumbai Indians retained Bumrah at a staggering price of Rs 12 crore. He played 14 games and took 15 wickets. 

• Bumrah was absent in the 2023 season, suffering a back stress fracture. 

• In 2024 Bumrah came back after an injury and bowled as usual. He made 13 appearances and also secured 20 wickets with an outstanding economy rate.

• One of the most restrained seasons of his career was in 2025 where Bumrah took 18 wickets in 12 games.  

• Mumbai Indians retained Bumrah in IPL 2026 at Rs 18 crore. As the season progresses, it will be exciting to see how he performs.
